Heritage Foundation of Pakistan Survival of rural and local enterprises

Heritage Foundation of Pakistan Survival of rural and local enterprises

After attending one such Green Livelihoods workshop last year, a team of six participants from the village Pillari 2 decided to make soaps from natural reetha (soap-nut). Little did they know that their micro-enterprise will not only help them make ends meet but also provide a valuable service during a grave emergency. With the onset of COVID-19, hand washing became essential to control the spread of the virus. This provided an opportunity to the reetha soap team to begin marketing their product as soon as there was a little relaxation in the lockdown.
